Congratulations to Rochester’s First Annual Fur Ball! A very successful fundraiser, so successful they’ve already set the date for next year!! For those of you in the area it will be October 2nd, 2011, save the date!
It was so great donating one of our bundled dog bed sets to an organization that is working so hard to raise money and awareness for people and animals in need. Their goal is to help organizations that improve the lives of people through animals and to help animals in need. This year, proceeds from their 1st annual Rochester Fur Ball, will benefit The Animal Service League, Verona Street Animal Society and Monroe County Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

Our latest dog bed donations have truly touched our hearts!! An organization that focuses on helping financially challenged seniors and disabled individuals with their seriously ill pets! The Acme Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is in it’s 12th year donating their time and resources where 100% of all net proceeds go to qualifying grant recipients.

 For all the “Newfies” out there, coming up in May (22nd) is the 7th Annual Newfiepalooza Fundraiser Event. This year it is being held in Chicago, Illinois by a 3000 strong non-profit group of Newfoundland dog owners! Many of their members have their own Newfs trained in search & rescue, water rescue, therapy, cart pulling, grooming and showing, as well as other things. Members and their Newfs come from all over the United States and Canada to attend this awesome event for rescue!
We are very excited to be part of Newfiepalooza again this year, as last year they raised close to $7,200 for Newf rescue, which benefited several rescue groups across the United States! Congratulations “Newfies”, and thanks for helping A LOT of Newfs in need!! Check out what wonderful things these pups do…

Very excited to donate to Stars to the Rescue and Prodigies For Pets, another great event that raises a lot of money for so many homeless animals. Since 1991, ARF has kicked off each year with a star-filled evening held in Walnut Creek , California at the Lesher Center for the Arts. On stage, the spotlight shines on celebrity performers who donate their time to present an evening of fun and laughter while raising money for all of ARF’S life-saving programs. Notable entertainers who have contributed their talent in the past include Clint Black, Michael Bolton, Jackson Browne, Chicago, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Sammy Hagar, Emmylou Harris, Chris Isaak, Bonnie Raitt, Carlos Santana, Rob Schneider, The Eagles, and Wynonna, to name a few. We received great joy donating to this amazing organization! The Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation is a no-kill non-profit organization. This event raised over $100,000, last year helping ARF save so many lives! In addition to saving dogs and cats running out of time in public shelters, they provide ongoing public education about responsible pet ownership, demonstrate the healing touch of animals to seniors and the sick, and assist low-income pet owners in caring for their animals. We were honored to be included in the 8th annual Spirit of the Season: Reach for the Gold Event, raising dollars benefiting the Special Olympics of Northern California. All donations go to helping them raise money to continue year round funding for sports training and competition programs, benefiting over 250 athletes in San Francisco, California. Animals on Broadway is another one of Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation’s Events that is so rewarding to donate to because they are so much fun for everyone, furry or not! They combine it with a 1-mile fundraiser walk plus raffles, great food and vendor booths, all proceeds going to ARF! Thank goodness we have beds big enough for Greyhounds! We donated to SEGA’S Carpe Canem Auction, helping to raise money for the well-deserving amazing Greyhounds! Your company donated beds and covers to the Marquette County Humane Society for a fundraiser. I won one of the beds with two covers. But I don’t have a dog…I was thrilled to win in for my cat!
